James Rodriguez

Rodriguez won the Golden Boot award at the 2014 World Cup after scoring six goals for Colombia, before moving to Spanish giants Real Madrid on a six-year contract for a transfer fee of €80-million. This year, the 25-year-old was part of Calvin Klein’s #mycalvins campaign.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The 31-year-old Portugal and Real Madrid striker is a footballing superstar and sex symbol. A three-time winner of the Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year, Ronaldo opened his first fashion boutique under the name “CR7” (his initials and shirt number) in 2006.

Didier Drogba

The 38-year-old Ivorian, who played more than 200 matches for Chelsea, appeared shirtless on the cover of Vanity Fair with Ronaldo before the 2010 World Cup, and has appeared in several other campaigns.


Kaka was part of three Brazil World Cup squads, including the one that lifted the trophy in 2002, and currently plays for Orlando City in the USA. He had a modelling contract with Armani and was the first sportsman to reach 10-million Twitter followers.

The 35-year-old French international, who was born in Senegal, currently plays for Juventus in Italy.  He was voted among the top 50 sexiest footballers at the 2014 World Cup by Shape magazine.

Diego Forlan

Forlan was voted the best player at the 2010 World Cup, which saw him presented with the Golden Ball, and is regarded as one of Uruguay’s greatest ever footballers. The 37-year-old is currently playing for Mumbai City in India.

Claudio Marchisio

The 30-year-old Juventus and Italy midfielder has appeared in Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Men calendar and on the cover of GQ magazine.

Theo Walcott

In 2006, Walcott became England’s youngest ever senior football player aged 17 years and 75 days. The 27-year-old’s boyish good looks make him a must have for any sexiest footballers list.

Oliver Giroud

The Arsenal and France striker was named Paddy Power’s inaugural ‘Hottest Premier League Player’ last year after a landslide win. In his cheeky acceptance speech, he thanked his parents ‘for making me this way’. The 30-year-old also admitted in an interview with GQ Style that he brought a grooming kit to games to ensure he looked good on the field.

Jesus Navas

The 30-year-old Spanish defender, who now plays for Manchester City, can hypnotise defenders with those green eyes – and break a few hearts.
